You're standing on the roof of a building staring at the thin tightrope stretched taught over the wide expanse. Your one goal is to make it across. Only problem is, you will fall. It is inevitable. Good thing you have this voice inside your head to constantly remind you of your fate.

This game was originally created for Ludum Dare 50. After working on it, on and off, throughout the year, we finally present you with the updated version! The theme was "Failure is inevitable"... BUT IS IT? You will have to be the one to find out ;)

Controls

  • Mouse Left-Right: Balance on the rope
  • W: Move faster (Makes it harder to balance)
  • R: Restart the run
  • We recommend Fullscreen for more precise controls.

If you're having some performance issues you can try downloading the game. The downloaded version also looks a bit nicer.

One of the downloaded versions also allows you to compete in the leaderboards and collect medals with a Newgrounds account. Highscores are posted to the game's Newgrounds page!

the fake mouse movements really got me.

They're meeeean :D
And were somewhat of a pain to implement in webGL lol

Also just gonna mention, I'm trying to complete the game to put it on speedrun.com, hopefully mentioning that doesn't make someone else race me to it lol

Good luck! If you do want to compete with people for the best distances and times right now, I suggest heading to Newgrounds.com. There are leaderboards there. But getting the game on speedrun.com would be fantastic of course and I'm all for it :)

The ending for this game is good

Thank you! Proud of you for making it all the way and happy to hear that someone got to see it already. We put a lot of effort into the ending :)

You're welcome. I forgive you for putting that discord call in that ruined my run lol
